We are looking for a curious and tenacious HR Assistant to join the team in the London head office, working in a close knit supportive HR team and supporting the Head of HR.

Day to Day Responsibilities
Recruitment / New Hire Process
• Managing the on-boarding process including preparation of offer packs and carrying out new hire induction meetings
• Working closely with the Compliance team re: on boarding requirements
• Assisting with the organisation of the Graduate Trainee Trader Assessment day
o Screening CVs, sending out invitations, candidate liaison, administering aptitude tests, collating feedback, organising 2nd round interviews
• Posting job adverts, organising interviews and assisting with the interview process
• Dealing with recruitment agencies, ensuring terms and conditions are agreed
• Preparing new hire reports as required including a breakdown of costs
• Responding to reference requests for employees
Payroll / Benefits
• Managing the global monthly payroll processes
• Dealing with payroll queries across the business
• Facilitating resolution to any payroll errors
• Being the point of contact for employee benefits related queries across the UK and Asia
• Ensuring all new hires are enrolled to the appropriate benefit schemes
Other HR Duties
• Managing the probation review process – sending notification to managers and preparing the appropriate employee letter
• Co-ordinating the leaver process including drafting leaver letters and arranging exit interviews
• Ensuring all Year end and Midyear appraisals are completed and returned to HR
• Administering all HR related documentation such as Maternity, Leave of Absence and Promotion letters etc.
• Ensuring all HR policy documents and HR databases are up to date and in line with legislative changes
• Assisting with GDPR compliance
• Assisting with setting up and managing work experience placements and interns
• General HR administration support including reporting and filing
• Attending HR workshops and seminars
Candidate Requirements
• University graduate (2:1 or above) or equivalent
• Proven keen interest in Human Resources
• Extremely organised and must have good attention to detail
• Good problem solving skills
• Enjoys working with people
• Patient, tactful, diplomatic, friendly and approachable
• A calm, level headed demeanour
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Able to deal with confidential information appropriately
• HR experience desirable but not essential
